My Professional Journey in Music

My life has always been defined by a deep dedication to creativity, discipline, and my faith. Professionally, I am a music arranger, orchestrator, flutist, and composer. My musical journey led me to earn a Master of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts, and I have spent several decades working at a high level in the music industry. Much of my career has been dedicated to the intricate work of arranging, orchestrating, and conducting orchestral strings for various recording artists and songs. Beyond the studio, I have always felt a responsibility to pass the gift of music along to the next generation, which led me to serve as a music educator for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), helping students discover their own creative voices.

Passions and Diverse Experiences

My life experiences outside of music are quite diverse, as I have always been eager to explore different forms of expression and movement. Over the years, I have formally studied both tap dancing and martial arts. My appreciation for the visual side of storytelling even brought me to the world of film and television, where I have worked behind the scenes and on-camera as a production extra.

In my personal time, I am an avid cinephile. I love watching great movies and drawing creative inspiration from listening to legendary film composers, with the iconic scores of Jerry Goldsmith being a particular favorite of mine. Whether I am analyzing a classic film or perfecting a complex musical arrangement, my philosophy has always been to express my passion with confidence and ensure I truly understand the subject matter.

Faith, Family, and New Horizons

At the very center of who I am are my family and my faith. I have been a dedicated Christian for over thirty years, and this spiritual journey anchors every aspect of my life. Today, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, with my wife. I am a proud father and grandfather, and an active, devoted member of the Valley Church of Christ.

Having spent decades bringing stories and emotions to life through the medium of sound, I recently felt a strong personal calling to channel my lifetime of faith and creative experience into a new avenue, expanding my horizons as an author to share timeless truths with a brand-new audience.
